Hello! Welcome!

I am new to the blogging world! For the past few years I have followed many great teaching blogs. I have always wanted to start my own blog. So here I am!  I hope that I can share with you creative ideas that may help you in your classroom.
I am from Long Island, but I teach in the NYC Public Schools. I taught 5 years in kindergarten as a special education teacher in a special program for children on the spectrum in Brooklyn, NY. Currently, I teach in this program as a cluster in Queens, NY. This position allows me to teach and reach out to multiple grade levels academically and behaviorally. Most of my expertise pertains to the the area of autism and I am happy to share advice and support whenever possible!

If you are fortunate to have an ipad in your classroom this could be a great tool for your classroom. One app that I use quite often is the Classroom Timer by the Walsall Academy. It is a free download, but does have many ads from time to to time. There is a no-ad version which you could purchase for $1.99. It is a great visual timer that is very easy for children to understand.
