Groove! Groove! How do Animals Move?

In Kindergarten science we are studying how do animals move. We started out by reading the book Move!

The children enjoyed it and really got them thinking about all the different ways animals move. We turned and talked to our partners to discuss what we learned.

Then we made a flamingo book inspired by Kim Adsit's Animals Wild and Tame Unit.

Here, we showed two different ways you were able to make the pages in your book. Sentence or sort.

Inside the book the children had to cut out clip art animal pictures given to the them and then glue in on one page all the animals that fly, the next page, animals that swim, and the last page, animals that walk. If they were more advanced, they had more pages in their book and had to glue one animal on each page and write a sentence about how it moved.

Enjoy!
